Abstract:
The present study “Awareness of Educational app among higher secondary students” is a normative survey study. The study was conducted on a representative sample of 370 higher secondary school students of Kottayam consisting of 179 males and 191 females. The sample was selected by the stratified random sampling procedure. To find out objective of educational apps awareness among Higher secondary students tools used were Educational apps awareness scale (EAAS) and General Data Sheet prepared and standardized by the investigator. The results of the study indicate mean scores of educational apps of higher secondary Students based on subsamples of Gender, Type of Management and locale differ significantly. Further the study found the awareness towards educational apps among Higher secondary students also differ significantly based on attitude towards technology, Access to technology, Knowledge of ICT, Usage of technology, Changes in communication behaviour due to technology, Impact of ICT on Learning and Barriers to ICT in learning. From the results it is observed that use of educational app is at a moderate level among the students and needs to be enhanced to improve the learning by use of technology among higher secondary learners.
